We have a "patient first" attitude and we provide high quality, compassionate care. We keep pace with or lead many larger centres in how and what we do, and we are dedicated to working and sharing together in a style that creates a healthy, healing, caring environment.

A Safe and Healthy Work Environment
  • 2008 recipient of the Ontario Hospital Association & National Quality Institute’s ‘Healthy Hospital Innovators Award
  • As of April 1st 2009 Cornwall Community Hospital is a 100% smoke-free property. This initiative applies to all Hospital property including Hospital sidewalks and parking lots.
  • Gold level recipient of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit’s ‘Healthy Workplace Award’.
Education
  • Self-learning packages available to staff
  • Medical library & librarian on-site
  • Skills initiative - The Skills Initiative Fund was created to encourage Cornwall Community Hospital full & part-time staff to pursue learning and skill development opportunities. Since 2004, over 100 staff members have participated in learning/educational opportunities and $95,000.00 has been made available to help them achieve these learning goals!
